Bishop Takes Queen - All That I Am

A nice speedy sound Bishop Takes Queen holds nothing back on the sheer blast that is “All That I Am”. The way they transport me back to the early aughts is magical. With strong nods to Blink182, Coheed and Cambria, and more there is plenty to love. Pouring their heart and soul into the atmosphere is a nice touch for they make sure to hold absolutely nothing back. From the racing rhythm to the ragged riffs overlaid on top of it, the whole thing has such fire to it. Vocals rise above the rest of this din in a way that becomes truly awe inspiring.

Right from the start the song is gigantic. Volume is a must but they bring it themselves. Quite a loud piece they make sure to double down on the sound. Layer upon layer enters into the fray, making the overall vibe even more chaotic. The lyrics resting in the center of the whole piece do the rest of the work. Every word is chosen with such care as it is almost screamed above the rest of the group. Somehow this only adds to the emotional heft of the piece, as the guitars, bass, and drums help to further punctuate their message. When they do let up, just a little bit, the tenderness has even more power behind it as it seemingly offers the very beating heart of the matter.

Bishop Takes Queen shows off their fantastic interplay and positivity with the joyous “All That I Am”.
