Meskimo sculpts a serene, soothing sound one that absolutely touches the very soul.

The Meskimo - There Should Be More Stars, I’ve Counted Them Twice (feat. Christine Corless)

The Meskimo utilizes a theatrical flair on the spellbinding chamber pop sweetness of “There Should Be More Stars, I’ve Counted Them Twice (feat. Christine Corless)”. Piano playing has a profound beauty to it for it helps to propel the whole thing forward. A thoughtful cadence takes shape for there is a gradual build of the sound that adds to its strong sense of life. Her vocals have a tenderness to them, full of compassion as there is an off-kilter Jon Brion quality to the whole of the piece.

A nimble groove holds the track in place. Piano playing displays a true talent for form with its impressionist quality. Everything seems to bounce off into the distance. Lyrics go for a poetry of sorts, a fractured one that includes its own journey, however warped it might be at first. By allowing these pieces to come together in their own light, bright, and airy way there is a love for the surroundings that is a true joy to behold. Clever melodies seem to be reflected endless through prisms as the riffs have a poignancy to them, constantly growing and evolving in their own playful way. So many layers filter into the fray for the fantastic finale as there is a tremendous power to it all.

“There Should Be More Stars, I’ve Counted Them Twice (feat. Christine Corless)” features the beauty of the Meskimo in sculpting a serene, soothing sound one that absolutely touches the very soul.
